When it arrived last week, I didn't know quite what to make of Trabasack's black velcro snake like Media Mount accessory thing. It costs £19.95 plus p&p and attaches to a Trabasack tray and itself as needed. So what's it good for?

"How can a family go on holiday if one of the children is disabled and needs special seating to travel by plane?
This is a conundrum MERU designed a solution to over 10 years ago when we developed the MERU Air Chair. 30 of these chairs have been made under license over the past 10 years enabling children with postural support needs to travel with their families all over the world.
MERU has one Air Chair in our workshops in Epsom which we have been lending to children like Evie.
However, there is always room for improvement, so after 10 years MERU is working with an organisation called Devices 4 Dignity to design the Air Chair MkII, and MERU would like to hear from anyone who has experience of travelling as a disabled passenger to help us with our new design."

I've an enormous amount of respect for the work and knowledge of Gavin Philips in the field of accessibility. You may have heard of him through his work on the amazing AbleGames event run by Assistive Technology Partners. His brand new web-site reveals links to more brilliant resources he's been behind, including......a grin-inducing "Combat Chair" using dual Nerf guns (fire foam darts), a D.I.Y. accessibility switch guide that's super cheap to build, an eye controlled wheelchair and more besides. Superb. Added to the OneSwitch D.I.Y. index.
If you're in the UK, you're possibly grinning slightly incredulously at the name. If you're not in the UK, carry on... Knobz are a quick and easy way to customise a power-wheelchair. And if you don't like their designs, they'll consider making a design of your own. I like MERU very much. They make some really brilliant stuff. Take a look at their latest video to learn more.
